Preparing mountain routes & live itineraries
An iconic Himalayan classic traversing the ancient high-altitude shepherd trails of the Garhwal range, immortalised as the Lord Curzon Trail. Designed for nature enthusiasts and mountain trekkers, this expedition showcases grand alpine meadows (Bugyals), ancient oak and rhododendron woodlands, and unparalleled panoramic vistas of India's most celebrated peaks. Ascending from the quiet Himalayan outpost of Pipalkoti toward the summit of Kuari Pass (12,750 ft), trekkers stand face-to-face with the towering wall of Mount Nanda Devi, Kamet, Dronagiri, Trishul, and Chaukhamba. From the sweeping ridges of Khullara Top to the vast emerald expanses of Gorson Bugyal and the ski meadows of Auli, this 6-day trek delivers an extraordinary high-altitude Himalayan wilderness experience.
Our alpine treks follow strict zero-waste leave-no-trace ethics. Ropes, crampons, pulse oximeters, and oxygen cylinders are carried across all high passes.
Meet your group in Rishikesh early in the morning and begin the scenic mountain drive alongside the holy Ganga and Alaknanda river valleys. Pass through the revered river confluences of Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag along the National Highway. Arrive at the Pipalkoti base camp (4,400 ft) by late afternoon and check in to your designated guesthouse. Attend the evening trek orientation with the base camp manager, store extra luggage in the cloakroom, and enjoy dinner.
