Preparing mountain routes & live itineraries

An expansive 8-day, 7-night journey across the dramatic terrain of Sikkim and the colonial tea hills of Darjeeling, starting and ending at Bagdogra or NJP. Tracing the Teesta River from subtropical foothill valleys to windswept Tibetan plateaus, this circuit showcases the remarkable variety of the Eastern Himalayas. Explore the glacial waters of Tsomgo Lake near the Silk Route border, ascend through alpine valleys to the sacred Gurudongmar Lake (17,800 ft), and marvel at the rhododendron-lined meadows of Yumthang. Conclude by crossing the West Bengal border in Darjeeling to witness dawn break in gold over Mount Kanchenjunga from Tiger Hill, ride the heritage Himalayan railway, and walk through fragrant emerald tea gardens.
All trips are led by experienced mountain drivers and trip coordinators. Itineraries are paced for comfortable acclimatization with emergency first aid kits on hand.
Meet your driver upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Station and commence the picturesque drive along the Teesta River. Complete Sikkim state entry formalities at the Rangpo border checkpost. Climb through terraced mountainsides to reach the state capital, Gangtok (5,500 ft), and check in to your hotel. Spend a leisurely evening strolling along pedestrian-only MG Marg, visiting local cafés, and soaking in the lively town square.
